Chapter Governance Milestone: Updated Bylaws Approved
At the 2025 Annual Meeting, members approved updated Chapter Bylaws aligning WNC-MOAA with current North Carolina nonprofit law and modern operating practices. Members also elected a new Board of Directors, strengthening leadership continuity and transparency for the years ahead.

WNC-MOAA Receives MOAA Community Outreach Grant Supporting Veterans Healing Farm
WNC-MOAA was selected as a recipient of a 2025 MOAA Community Outreach Grant from The MOAA Foundation, receiving $3,250 in support of the Veterans Healing Farm in Mills River, NC. The grant will directly support programs that help veterans and their families build connection, purpose, and wellness through agriculture and community engagement.

Blue Ridge Honor Flight Support and Welcome Home
WNC-MOAA members supported the Blue Ridge Honor Flight throughout 2025 by serving as volunteers, guardians, and staff. The Chapter also participated in Welcome Home celebrations honoring WWII, Korea, and Vietnam veterans returning from Washington, D.C.
