On June 22, 2024, WNC-MOAA proudly participated in the inaugural Haywood County Veterans Gathering, a free public event designed to thank the community for its support and introduce local veteran service organizations. WNC-MOAA joined fellow organizations such as the American Legion, VFW, DAV, and Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association in sponsoring this important event.

Our chapter set up a tent and table to engage with veterans, share information about MOAA and WNC-MOAA, and connect with the local military community. The event was a great success, drawing a strong turnout of veterans and supporters. As a direct result of our participation, three new members joined our Chapter and Satellite, further strengthening our presence in Western North Carolina.

We are grateful for the opportunity to participate in this meaningful event and look forward to continuing to support and advocate for our veteran community.
