WNC-MOAA Participates in Henderson County Veterans Stand Down
On July 18, 2024, WNC-MOAA proudly participated in the Henderson County Veterans Stand Down at the newly renovated Hedrick-Rhodes Veterans Center in Hendersonville, NC. This important event, hosted by Henderson County and the Office of Congressman Chuck Edwards, provided critical services and resources to veterans in a welcoming and supportive environment.
WNC-MOAA had a table at the event, where we engaged with veterans, shared information about MOAA and WNC-MOAA, and connected with fellow veteran service organizations. Additionally, we had the valuable opportunity to meet with leadership from the Charles George VA Medical Center and discuss important issues affecting the veteran community.
The Stand Down featured healthcare services, housing assistance, employment opportunities, and legal aid, ensuring that veterans received the support they deserve. Congressman Chuck Edwards and Stephanie Young, Executive Director of the Charles George VA Medical Center, were also in attendance, reinforcing their commitment to those who have served our nation.
WNC-MOAA is honored to have participated in this meaningful event, and we remain dedicated to supporting and advocating for veterans throughout our region.
