WNC-MOAA Supports Veterans Restoration Quarters with Bigelow Tea Donation
Our WNC-MOAA chapter extends deep gratitude to Tricia Vinson (WNC-MOAA Board Member) and her brother Doug Vinson for their generous donation of Bigelow Tea. This thoughtful contribution has significantly supported our efforts to give back to the veteran community.
Doug Vinson, a passionate advocate for Stop Soldier Suicide, originally secured the Bigelow Tea donation for an event in Charlotte. In an incredible display of generosity, Doug passed on the extra tea to our chapter, allowing us to extend our outreach even further. WNC-MOAA then donated the tea to the Veterans Restoration Quarters (VRQ) in Asheville, a facility dedicated to providing housing, support, and essential resources to veterans in need.
The VRQ provides tea to its residents daily, and this donation has helped ensure they have a comforting and familiar refreshment available. This simple yet meaningful contribution symbolizes the care and solidarity within our community, reminding veterans that they are valued and supported.
WNC-MOAA sincerely thanks Doug Vinson for his generosity and unwavering support of veterans. His actions, along with Tricia’s coordination, exemplify the spirit of giving and compassion that strengthens our chapter and our mission. We are truly honored to recognize their efforts and the positive impact they have made.
