First Virtual General Membership Meeting a Big Success!
Wow, I am still amazed at how well our Virtual General Meeting went on Saturday, November 21, 2020. We had 23 members in attendance which is not bad for our first attempt.
After her welcome and a short business period, Donna Culp introduced Dr. Mark Jaben as guest speaker. He is the Medical Director of the Haywood County Health Department. Dr. Jaben obviously has a vast amount of knowledge concerning the COVID-19 Epidemic. For those not in attendance, you missed a great program that imparted a wealth of useful information explaining where we have been, where we are now and where we are headed in the future with this worldwide medical disaster. A question and answer period followed.
I would like to invite you to join us for the February 27, 2021 Virtual Meeting should we have to follow the same format. For those of you who may hesitate because you may feel your computer skills are up to “snuff” --believe me when I say mine are very limited but this was so easy even I had no problem joining in. Donna has floated in the idea of maybe having a couple of tutorial sessions just to have you see that anyone can do it.
Hoping this finds you in good health, stay safe and I hope to see you all soon be it in person or virtually.
